Who are we?

We are a group of running buddies that meet mostly in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. If you run for fun or if you are more serious, come out and try our runs. Check the Bulletin Board, or contact Steve at (917) 238-9447. Alternatively, contact john (john_shostrom@simail.com)

Everybody is welcome, if you feel you are a Brooklyn Road Runner, you probably are one. Don’t forget to mention your club affiliation on the New York Road Runners race applications and wear our club singlets :brentnycmarathon.jpg

What we do:

Training

We like to run. If you like to train seriously, we are probably the best group to run with in Brooklyn.

We train in and around Prospect Park for funruns, longruns or speedwork. The regular group runs are 4 times a week: Thursday and Tuesday evening (6:45 pm) and 9:00 am on Sundays and Saturdays.

Races: New York Road Runners and Prospect Park

Check on the calendar before you come, because sometimes we participate in races, and nobody might show up at the meeting point. A good way to know what’s up is check the mailing list at the Bulletin Board

As a team, we participate in the New York Road Runners club championship. The main race of the year is New York Marathon, and most of the group train at one stage of their life for this race.
